Aunque usted no lo crea, la banda inglesa de rock alternativo está vendiendo más los singles de su último álbum, In Rainbows, colocándolo en su página oficial que por la discografía tradicional que, poco a poco, va decayendo en su producción.
Octavia Sperati es una banda noruega que se formó en el año 2000 y tocan un estilo Doom Rock Melódico. La mayoría de sus integrantes son mujeres con excepción del baterista Ivar Alver. La vocalista Sileje Wergeland tiene una voz suave que va desde lo lírico a lo poderoso. Curiosamente estaba pensando que más géneros o estilos existen en el mundo musical y me encontré con una banda Sueca llamada Game Over que se autodenominan Nintendo Metal, y que en si no es gran cosa al menos me dejo con la melodía de Mario en mi cerebro. El primer demo lo sacaron en el 2002, lo llamaron simplemente “Nintendo Metal” y solo contaba con 5 canciones:

Bueno no podía empezar este blog de música sin mencionar a una de mis bandas favoritas Within Temptation, fundada en 1996 por Robert Westerholt (Guitarra) y por Sharon den Adel (Voz) en su país natal, Holanda. Llevan ya 10 años sacando buenos discos y con la hermosa, melodiosa, amorosa, perfecta e inconfundible voz de Sharon se han hecho acreedores de varios premios de la cadena TMF.
Publicaron su primer disco Enter en el año 1996 con un estilo más gótico, alcanzaron el éxito en el 2000 con su segundo disco en estudio Mother Earth y con el cual consiguieron disco de platino en Holanda y disco de oro en Bélgica. En el 2004 lanzaron su tercer disco llamado The Silent Force que los llevo a hacer gira por toda Europa, este álbum fue N° 1 en Holanda y Finlandia, N° 5 en Alemania y se mantuvo por varias semanas en el Top 10 de Bélgica, Portugal y España, Top 20 en Austria y Suiza, Top 30 en Grecia, Francia, Turquia, Suecia y Noruega. También obtuvo el disco de oro y platino.
En el 2007 publicaron su cuarto disco llamado The Heart Of Everything en donde colaboraba Keith Caputo de Life of Agony en el conocido tema “What have you done”. En este mismo año han tocado en los Estados Unidos (Septiembre), seguido de las presentaciones en Alemania, Austria, Suiza y Francia (Octubre) y terminando con un espectacular concierto en Holanda y en el Reino Unido (Noviembre).
Tienen hasta la fecha 3 DVD’s y miles de seguidores alrededor del mundo. Y como ya todos sabemos Sharon tiene una hija llamada Eva Luna nacida el 7 de diciembre de 2005 de su pareja, el guitarrista Robert Westerholt. Aún queda mucho por escribir sobre esta banda pero para no extenderme demasiado mejor les dejo su discografía completa y el nombre de todos los miembros de la banda.
