Smith born in October 7, 1957 in Kenova, West Virginia, is one of the most influential and best selling artists in the Christian Contemporary Music field and has also achieved considerable success as a mainstream artist. Smith is a three time Grammy Award winner, and has earned 34 Dove Awards. Over the course of his 24-year career, he has sold more than 13 million albums and has recorded 29 No. 1 hit songs, 14 gold albums, and 5 platinum albums. Smith is an American Music Award recipient and was named one of People magazine’s most beautiful people.
